HARI establishes new Chevrolet dealership in Camsur

Hariphil Asia Resources Incorporated (HARI) has put up a Chevrolet dealership in Bicol — boosting the Golden Bowtie’s presence in the region.

The newly-opened Chevrolet Camarines Sur — situated along Maharlika Highway, Zone 1, in San Jose, Pili — is managed by Frontier Automotive Marilao Corporation (FAMC) under the Chiongbian group, which is the new distributor’s business partner for more than 20 years.

During the opening ceremony, HARI Vice Chair, President and Chief Executive Officer Maria Fe Agudo received a warm welcome from prominent members of the province’s government and business sectors — led by Pili Mayor Tomas Bongalonta.

 “Our presence in Bicol will make Chevrolet’s global tagline, ‘Together, Let’s Drive,’ a reality. As the newest member of the local business community, we are ready to be your partner in driving the economy of Cam Sur and pursue the noble aspirations of the Bicol Region,” she said.

Contributing to approximately 33 percent of the region’s economy, Camarines Sur — the largest province in the Bicol region — is also known as the “Sports and Adventure Capital of the Philippines”.

For his part, Chevrolet Cam Sur Dealer Principal William Chiongbian said that the inauguration of the new facility is timely, given the current and future infrastructure plans that will develop Cam Sur into one of the country’s major growth centers for tourism and commerce.

“Things are looking up for Cam Sur. So, right here and now, we can already begin to add more value, serving and delighting the mobility needs of the Oragons and of the diverse markets who are visiting and who will be visiting this beautiful province,” he said.

Meanwhile, Agudo vowed to live up to the company’s “legacy of excellence in new ways in order to respond to the needs of today’s diverse markets.”

Chevrolet’s distributorship in the Philippines — now under HARI — has enjoyed breakthroughs during the initial half of the year such as the 131-percent growth (beating the brand’s full year performance in 2023), led by the Tracker, Camaro, and Trailblazer.
