New Honda City Hatchback priced at P1.189 million
Honda Cars Philippines Incorporated has updated the City Hatchback.
The latest iteration of the five-seater city car now boasts a refreshed look, interior upgrades, and improved safety features. It is aimed at car buyers who are looking for a vehicle that can keep up with their active lifestyles.
The new Honda City Hatchback dropped the old honeycomb grille for a latticework with a mesh-type design. The lower front bumper has also been changed, now sporting a more aggressive look with a slightly protruding chin and larger holes for its radiator cowling.
The RS badge beside the Honda emblem for the sole RS CVT (continuously variable transmission) trim also appears to be bolder than that of the outgoing model.
Similar changes can be noticed on the rear of the new Honda City Hatchback. Gone is the old two-part bumper with honeycomb appliques. It has been replaced with a more modern-looking bumper with sporty diffusers.
Further, the tailpipe of the new hatchback appears to be cut straight whereas the one fitted on the outgoing model looks somewhat bent and pointed downwards. The updated RS badge can also be seen at the back.
Also noticeable is the new side sill garnishes of the vehicle, they seem to pop out of the bodywork compared to the seamless profile worn by the old hatchback.
The cabin of the new Honda City Hatchback looks sleeker and more luxurious than its predecessor.
Its seats are now covered in leather with perforation and red trims unlike the old model with suede-like upholstery. The same material is applied to the center armrest, shifter boot, and steering wheel of the hot hatch.
And while we’re on the topic of seats, the new Honda City Hatchback now has ULTR (Utility, Long, Tall, Refresh) seats. It will allow its would-be owners to change the configuration of the chairs to best suit their needs, whether it’s seating passengers or accommodating cargo.
The new Honda City Hatchback now has an updated 4.2-inch thin-film transistor instrument cluster that displays relevant driving information to the person sitting behind the wheel. In addition, its eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system now has wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto for added convenience.
The new Honda City Hatchback has an updated list of safety features which include adaptive cruise control, a collision mitigation braking system, lane keeping assist, road departure mitigation, lane departure warning, auto high beam, and lead car departure notification.
The upgraded Honda City Hatchback is priced at P1.189 million.
