Royal Enfield introduces Shotgun 650 to PH, price starts at P429K

Motociclista Scatola Incorporated (MSI) has expanded its Royal Enfield lineup with introduction of the Shotgun 650 in the Philippines.

As posted on its website, the Chennai-headquartered motorcycle marque said that the latest offering was designed to “defy categorization in both spirit and form.”

“Its modular design enables it to switch between three modes—from single seater to double seater to luggage-carrying tourer—with ease. Each of its four unique colorways draws from the culture of customization, offering a canvas for self-expression for builders and beginners,” the marque noted.

Here is what can buyers expect from the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650.

Dimension

The latest offering is 2,220 millimeters (mm) long; 820 mm wide; and 1,105 mm tall with a 1,465-mm wheelbase and 140-mm ground clearance.

It also has a 795-mm seat height while its tank has the capacity to store up to 13.8 liters of fuel.

Design

Based on the Super Meteor 650, the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 dishes out a neo-classic look that riders will surely appreciate.

The bobber offering features an all-LED illumination system — with the front lamps fitted in a custom, neo-modern nacelle. Its lights are all rounded in shape, which resembles to the auxiliaries that custom builders usually fit in their motorcycles.

Aside from that, the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is equipped with a leather bucket seat that can easily transform from single to dual in no time.

Upping the motorcycle’s retro look are the gloss aluminum switchgears with adjustable levers.

Performance

Under the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650’s tank is a 648 cubic-centimeter parallel twin, four-stroke, single overhead cam air-oil cooled fuel-injected gasoline engine. This is matched to a six-speed manual transmission.

The said mill, which also found on its middleweight cruiser counterpart, allows the bobber to do 22 kilometers per liter and give as much as 34 horsepower.

Its stopping power comes from the disc brakes with dual-channel anti brakelock system.

Technologies

The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 also has decent tech like digital and analogue gauges (which has a Tripper Navigator feature), and a Type-A USB port.

Available in Sheet Metal Grey, Green Drill, Plasma Blue, and Stencil White, Royal Enfield’s latest product in the Philippines is retailed in three trims at the following price points:

• Base: P429,000
• Mid: 439,000
• Top: P445,000
