Pre-Owned Suzuki Vitara: Why Would You Want One?
Suzuki Vitara was initially launched as a mini-SUV with four-wheel drive and off-road capabilities. This lasted for three generations up until the 2017 Suzuki Grand Vitara. A revamped model was later reintroduced as Suzuki Philippines’ first subcompact crossover. The all-new Vitara may have lost its “Grand” nameplate, but it has gained a lot more style and functionality with its latest update.
The now-compact vehicle is better suited for the urban jungle. It's sleek and sporty with the tech to match its looks. Coupled with comfortable seats, expandable cargo, seamless entertainment, and great performance, the Vitara has become more practical for daily use.
If you want to get an affordable deal, you can buy a 2nd hand Suzuki Grand Vitara or a pre-owned Suzuki Vitara at Carmudi

Suzuki Vitara Overview
The Suzuki Vitara has been completely redesigned. You can say goodbye to the rugged box-type wagon or the compact crossover. Instead, you’ll get a much smaller subcompact SUV for its fourth generation. Depending on the variant, you can choose from a muted monotone body or a flashy two-tone finish with matching two-tone alloy rims.
Its most prominent features are located up front and include a flat clamshell hood, a six-slat vertical grille with wraparound headlights, and a chiseled low-set bumper flanked by foglights and daytime running lights. The rear isn’t nearly as captivating but the hexagonal taillights match the look that Suzuki was going for - sporty and aggressive, but also sleek and elegant.
The cabin has a simpler design. Despite the heavy use of plastics, they feel soft and blend in with the all-black interior. Seats are part-leather and part-suede on GLX variants. Side panels get a similar treatment but have contrasting faux aluminum accents. This sporty vibe is carried over to the dashboard with its analog gauges, round air vents, multi-function steering wheel, and an infotainment system that connects with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
There’s enough space for 2-3 people on the rear. Unfortunately, the panoramic sunroof on the GLX limits the headroom for tall passengers. Behind the backseats is a 375L cargo space. Fold them down and you get 335L more.
Regardless of the variant, Suzuki Vitara is powered by a 1.6L gasoline engine that runs on a 6-speed automatic transmission with front-wheel drive. It can reach a maximum of 115 horsepower and 153 Nm of torque, which is better than most vehicles in the subcompact crossover segment.
Highlights include side-impact door beams, electronic stability, hill hold control, brake assist, and pedal release system. Thanks to its safety features, it earned it a 4-star ASEAN NCAP safety rating. The Vitara offers a smooth ride on city roads, even when driving across bumps and potholes. Acceleration is quick, although its NVH insulation can benefit from some improvement.
Fuel efficiency is where Suzuki Vitara shines. It registers anywhere from 12 to 21 kmpl.
